The Three Amigos

Manny, McKayla and Roman have been friends since they were a little over a year old. Manny wasn't even walking yet. It was the fall of 2006. Since that moment they have been pretty much inseparable.

This picture is from Manny's 2nd Birthday Party:

I have enjoyed watching all three of them grow up, grow closer and get along like siblings (sometimes good, sometimes bad). It does make life a lot easier when you have such close friends for your kids and myself, it's like a group-parenting effort and I am so glad to have their friendship for Manny and for myself.

Here's what happens when you give black frosting to kids:

Manny had a lady bug birthday party and I made cupcakes that looked like lady bugs, complete with black frosting.

Messy? Yes. Great pictures? Absolutely.

Manny's Birthday Party Part One

We had a beautiful day for Manny's 4th Birthday Party (one of the only nice days in June!) He had 10 friends (including Manny and Makenzie).

The kids made their own pizzas for lunch and played in the pool and with the hose all morning.

A Day in the Mud

Since it has been raining for the last month, we decided to take advantage of it:

Story Land

In June, we went camping in New Hampshire and decided we should take the kids to Story Land. I have to say, even as an adult, Story Land was a lot of fun. Manny was able to go on all the rides (Joe and I could also...hello roller coasters!).

Visit with Ben and family

Manny, Makenzie and I spent a few days in Portland visiting Ben while he was home from Italy from the Navy.

Some Geo-Caching

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

So now we go treasure hunting whenever we can!

Picking out what treasure they would like to trade for:

Seriously, this was in a guard rail in the Walmart parking lot:

Silly Girl!

Manny is now the proud owner of a.....

...big boy bike!!

Manny was so excited to go to Toys R Us and pick out his bike.

Here he is helping assemble it (sandwich in hand):
