Last fall, Manny started saying his whole name as, "Manny Philip Ramos". Which was really cute.
About 4 months ago, Manny decided his name was "Mine Older Play Thomas". When asked what his name was that was what he would reply. This was because he had received a Thomas toy from Nana and Papa when he was born that he never was able to play with because of the tiny pieces (it was for ages 3+). Everytime he would ask to play with it, we had to say "not until you are older" because we didn't feel like going to the ER to have small pieces removed from his airway (not a fun way to spend the day, I would assume). Anyway, finally we decided that he had gotten over the put-everything-in-his-mouth stage and let him play with it, thus the name change.
Then 3 months ago, Manny decided his name was "Mine Older Play Thomas and Little Legos". This is basically the same story as the Thomas set. Joe had bought Manny "little legos" (for ages 4-7) and Manny wasn't allowed to play with those for a while, again involving a name-change.
Last week, when we asked Manny what his name was he stated, "Manny Philip Ramos here to open all doors". After Joe and I stopped laughing, I was able to explain to Joe that Manny could now open the two kitchen doors all by himself and was very proud of that fact (obviously).

That name will look great on his business cards!
I was thinking that. What a service huh? "Manny Philip Ramos here to open all door". He would be a great doorman you should see him heave all his weight on the door that gets stuck on the rug...hmmm another project that Joe has let go undone...grrr
