Day Number Two

So for about the last year I have been lying to Manny's Pediatrician. He continues to ask if Manny has a pacifier. I continued to answer "no" mostly because I didn't feel like hearing a lecture from the Doctor about how bad a pacifier is.

I have tried many times to attempt to wean Manny from his pacifiers, but they didn't work. So we have only been using them at nap/bed time.

Yesterday I had an idea. We were driving to Walmart and I asked Manny if he wanted to give his pacifiers to Santa and Santa will give them to new babies. He sounded very excited, but I thought, hmmmm we will see what happens at nap time. He did ask for it, but I reminded him that we gave them to Santa and then he said, "for new babies" and then rolled over and went to sleep.

Yay! Wish us luck.

Way to go Manny (and Jen)! Now you never have to come clean to Dr. Ross and make your mommy look like a "fibber" :o)

Good Luck Jen!!! ;-) Henry is on day 13 without his and so far so good....!! Though...we missed it last night as we were driving home from my grandparents place around 8:30...instead of quickly falling asleep in the car as he usually does...he talked and talked and talked. Could have used that darn binky to quiet him down! Thankfully he was just talking instead of crying/screaming! hee hee!
