Manny attended his first Halloween party today. It was with the kids in his playgroup. Manny helped me make Halloween cookies to take to people for trick-or-treating as well. Here are pictures of both:

Just a Little Comparison...How fast a year goes by
I was recently looking through old pictures of Manny and was comparing last Halloween to this Halloween. What a difference a year makes.
These pictures are almost exactly one year ago (October 2005):

Compare that to this year:

It is amazing when I stop and think that last year we were just happy when Manny would sleep through the night...this year we are like, "can't you sleep until 8:30?"
Last year at this time Manny was eagerly eating baby-food oatmeal. For supper this evening, he shared our buffalo chicken pizza and asked for more.
Manny is the greatest thing that has ever happened to Joe and I and we are truely blessed.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING...EVERYONE'S DOING IT...
Okay, so it wasn't technically streaking, but doesn't he look cute in his towel?

Story-Time
Wednesday's start out with a lot of fun. We have story-time at 9:15. We go a little early so that we can play with the puzzles and check out books.
Manny really likes story-time. It only lasts about 20 minutes, but that is just long enough for most of the kids (all under 2 years old).
We sing the hello song, then listen to a story, do some "bounces" (songs and movement), have a snack and then sing the good-bye song. It's great.
Manny usually finds a couple of kids to play with after. This week it was twin girls...quite the ladie's man. Joe and I knew their parents from child-birthing classes, they are just a little older than Manny.
It's cute to watch him interact with other kids.

Visiting with GG (great grammy)
Today Manny and I went to spend the day with his GG (he can even say GG, so the nickname works out perfectly). We had lots of fun.
First Manny had a snack (in case anyone is wondering Manny is holding a Betty Boop figurine in his left hand (Gram's name is Betty and so Betty Boop...you get it right?)

Then he decided that he wanted to take a picture of GG:

Then GG helped Manny make some blueberry muffins:
All in all, I would say we had a fun day!
One of the best things about today was that we got to see Daddy when we got home. Joe got out of work early....only so he could go back in for midnight. However, we still got to see him this evening, so that is a plus.

Webdings?
I don't know how yesterday's post was in webdings...sorry. Everytime I looked at it, it was in a regular font. I fixed it though.

Yucky Rain
Today it is raining...not just raining...it is pouring. Yuck. And it is cold. Yuck again. Guess today will be a clean the house-stay inside kind of day.
Manny woke up and was helping me take care of laundry. He was looking in the basket and kept saying, "football". I didn't see any footballs or pictures of footballs in my laundry basket, so I just agreed with him. It wasn't until I asked him what he wanted to wear today and he pulled out his shirt with the tiger playing football that I finally understood.
Sometimes Mama's are a little slow at catching on :)

Manny's First Hair Cut
Today we are taking Manny to get his first haircut. It is way past time to cut off the curls, but they are so cute. I will post some pictures from our little adventure this afternoon.
Okay, so everything was fine for the first few minutes of his haircut. Manny was just sitting there looking in all the mirrors and having fun. He was dancing to the music on the radio and eating cheerios....until....

he had had enough, time to go home...

Going to the Pumpkin Patch
Last weekend we took Manny to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. We had so much fun.
There was a petting zoo...with goats, chickens and two bunnies.

We asked Manny to pick out a pumpkin and of course he tries to pick up the first pumpkin he sees. He was grunting like he was 102 years old when he was trying to pick it up.
He loved the chickens and the goats too.

Hi Everyone
I know that I have jumped all around to different sites recently to post pictures of Manny, but I think I am going to stay with this site. A lot of family members use this site, so it will be easy for them to view.
Also, I am creating this in the hopes that it will be easier to let everyone know what we are up to. Please feel free to leave comments!
