Name Game
About 4 months ago, Manny decided his name was "Mine Older Play Thomas". When asked what his name was that was what he would reply. This was because he had received a Thomas toy from Nana and Papa when he was born that he never was able to play with because of the tiny pieces (it was for ages 3+). Everytime he would ask to play with it, we had to say "not until you are older" because we didn't feel like going to the ER to have small pieces removed from his airway (not a fun way to spend the day, I would assume). Anyway, finally we decided that he had gotten over the put-everything-in-his-mouth stage and let him play with it, thus the name change.
Then 3 months ago, Manny decided his name was "Mine Older Play Thomas and Little Legos". This is basically the same story as the Thomas set. Joe had bought Manny "little legos" (for ages 4-7) and Manny wasn't allowed to play with those for a while, again involving a name-change.
Last week, when we asked Manny what his name was he stated, "Manny Philip Ramos here to open all doors". After Joe and I stopped laughing, I was able to explain to Joe that Manny could now open the two kitchen doors all by himself and was very proud of that fact (obviously).

Mother of the Year Award Goes to....
When we arrived at Sand Beach yesterday, I fed Makenzie and put her back in her carseat. Not two minutes later I tried to move the car seat by picking up the handle. Well, the handle was not locked into place and oh yeah, Makenzie wasn't strapped in. Guess where Makenzie went? Face-down in the sand.
Welcome to the beach Makenzie!
Sand Beach
You may think we are crazy (maybe we were), but the weather was beautiful (the outhouse was not)....
there was not enough sand toys (even though there were at least 10 toys)...
the sand was warm (and apparently tasty according to Kristian)...
and we had a great time....we even saw The Little Mermaid (in her Cherry dress with the petty coat)!

Big Puppy
Grammy came to visit us today and asked Manny if he was going to watch the Red Sox Game tonight? Manny said, "Yes, mine am watching Red Sox" Grammy asked him if he was going to watch Manny and Big Pappi.
I didn't think anything of it until after supper and Manny says to me, "Mine want to watch baseball, Mama. Mine want to watch Manny and Big Puppy."

Visit to the Park
Rolling Over!
Makenzie has started rolling over from her back to her tummy!
On Friday afternoon, her and Manny were playing on the floor. When I came back into the room from the kitchen Makenzie was on her belly. I asked Manny if he turned Makenzie over and he said no. I knew she had been rolling to her side and almost rolling to her tummy, but this was the first time she had actually gone all the way to her belly.
In the middle of the night I had to go into her room 3-4 times to flip her back over because once she gets onto her belly she can't quite make it back to her back.

Visiting GG
April Fool's
We told Manny we were having hamburgers for dinner and put one of these cookies on his plate. He looked at the cookie, looked at Joe and I and said, "no thanks, mine not hungry".
We played along for a little while that they were the best hamburgers were the best we had ever tasted etc. He still wouldn't touch them.
We told Manny they were cookies and he still wouldn't touch them. It was too funny. Poor kid, I think we traumatized him.
P.S. They are cookies with sesame seeds on top and then the burger is York Peppermint Patties, the lettuce is green coconut and the ketchup and mustard is just colored frosting. I thought they were really cute.

Manny Says..
You may be asking, did Manny take a nap? The answer is no. He was up 2 minutes later running around and playing.

Spring Fair
Manny ran as fast as he could to the Pirate Ship ride. Joe and I were a little nervous about him on this ride, but in true just-like-my-mama fashion...HE LOVED IT (the Pirate Ship happens to be one of my favorite rides, I love that "gonna lose my stomach" feeling).
He loved the Home Depot car.
He did a great job sitting still for the face painting, telling the girl all about his fish at home.
This is Manny winning his $5.00 whistle. Yes, I said $5.00 whistle...totally ridiculous.
Easter
We invited both sides of the family to our house. It was quite nice, once you talk everyone into bringing something.
Uncle Josh and Auntie TT finally had a chance to meet Makenzie:
Manny and I made 18 Easter Ears for everyone to wear. I think Phil and Sarah were the only people who wore them for the whole day...thanks guys, they were a LOT of work (especially since Manny's attention span wore off after 4 and I had to keep convincing him to help me put the stickers on.
